Three miners trapped for more than four days in a flooded mine shaft owned by the Hengtai Coal Mining Co. in northeast China were rescued on 8/27.
Nineteen of the trapped miners in a flooded mine in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province were rescued early Tuesday morning, bringing the total number of rescued miners to 22.  The 19 miners were trapped in the highest position in the mine, and survived on dripping water underground in the past 165 hours, rescuers said.
